Steel building sourcing services | Betco

A procurement package is useful when suppliers price the same interfaces. Our coordination work connects the request for quotation to supplier evidence and shipment planning.

Six service boundaries, one comparison trail

Supplier matching and quotations

Candidate suppliers receive the buyer-approved enquiry scope. The comparison matrix separates steel grade, frame weight assumptions, cladding, fasteners, packing and freight. A lower total may omit bracing, doors or installation guidance; those exclusions remain visible before selection.

Samples and inspection coordination

Panel swatches and coating samples help assess appearance but do not establish structural capacity. Inspection coordination records witness points, responsible inspectors and requested material certificates. Reports are passed to the buyer for acceptance; inspection does not replace engineering review.

Consolidation and export support

Piece-mark lists, package dimensions and handling restrictions inform loading discussions. Consolidation is assessed against supplier readiness and cargo protection needs. Export coordination covers document alignment with the agreed delivery term; customs decisions and transport conditions remain destination-specific.

From enquiry to release

  1. Define

Record country, occupancy, clear span in m, eaves height in m, loads and scope exclusions. The project engineer identifies the governing design basis.

  2. Compare

Ask each supplier to return the same schedule. Clarify steel grade, coating system, connection responsibility and whether foundations are excluded.

  3. Review

Agree the sampling route and inspection hold points before supplier production starts. Any drawing revision returns to the buyer for acceptance.

  4. Coordinate

Check packing list quantities and available inspection evidence before the buyer authorizes dispatch. Loading sequence should reflect the planned erection sequence.

Evidence is a release condition, not a blanket promise

Supplier capabilities, certifications and project compliance require documentary verification for each sourcing request. ISO 9001 describes a management system and is not proof of building-code compliance. Local permits, geotechnical design and construction safety remain with the relevant appointed professionals. Coating selection also depends on exposure and maintenance access; a finish suitable inland may need a different specification near salt spray.
